Learn how you can access and read a quick summary of your reconciliation in your reconciliation results page.
This guide introduces the Summary table feature, a handy tool to quickly monitor your reconciliation progress e,g. overview of line counts, values, and key differences across your invoices. We walk you through each of the four summary boxes, explaining what they show and how to interpret the data to stay on top of your reconciliations 🌟
The summary table
On the top left, just beside the ‘Results’ tab, you’ll see a ‘Summary’ tab. When enabled, it provides a quick overview of the reconciliation progress by line count and value (£). There are four summary boxes:
The first table shows the total number of lines in the reconciliation, the number of matches and differences, as well as the total values from the ledger and the statement. To understand these panels, click here.
💡 Note: the ledger amount shown here is different (lesser) than the total invoice amount. This is because the data shown reflect the amount after all transactions are accounted for e.g. credit notes you will receive. Whereas, in the vendor document, we include your workflow invoices.
The second table displays how many invoices are matched and how many have differences. It also categorises the reasons for differences (e.g., missing copies, invoices not on statement, or unposted invoices).
In the next table, you'll see the total value of invoices associated with these issues.
The final table summarises the pending actions needed to complete the reconciliation e.g. how many invoices need investigation or copy requests.
You can also click the ‘Show +/- values’ toggle at the bottom right of the summary section to view the last two boxes in terms of positive and negative values. This way you can quickly see the values of reconciled and unreconciled items.
